change the world

One Child at a time.

THE PROBLEM

Do you often feel overwhelmed by the brokenness in the world? We see problems like poverty, addiction, abuse, and homelessness around us and its easy to feel powerless.

An overwhelming amount of families are in crisis situations and children are experiencing trauma at a higher rate than ever before.  When you begin to look deeper at the families in these situations, you start to start to see commonalities, root causes of this epidemic.
How can we expect a child to become a healthy, successful adult when they have never seen any other option?
Every adult in a crisis situation was once a child.  More often than not,  this adult experienced trauma during childhood.  They grew up around abuse, addiction, crime, and unhealthy relationships. They are now simply repeating this with their own family.
A child from crisis is more likely to:
-  have sex before age 16
- run away
- become a member of a gang
- attack someone or get into a fight
- have a child by the age of 18
-
be charged with a crime by the age of 24
A child from criss is less likely to:
- earn a high school diploma
- graduate from a four year college
- remain consistently-connected to school and/or the labor market between ages 18 and 24

THE SOLUTION

Still Creek is standing in the gap, providing a loving family and safe home to children in need.
Over the last 30 years, Still Creek has cultivated a specific way to restore children, raising adults who
have healthy relationships, are self-sufficient, and seek God in all they do.
Picture

Gospel

Introduce children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, engendering long lasting and authentic transformation in their lives.
Picture

Education

Provide an education that will open doors to the future.  By opening doors to college, trade school, and careers, we end the generational cycle of homelessness and crime.

Work Ethic

Teach responsibility and a strong work ethic which will help overcome life's many obstacles. This creates a culture of working hard and giving back to the community.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

There is a need for more beds to save children from crisis situations.  To help meet this need and restore more children, Still Creek has a goal to increase capacity to 32 children by Fall 2018.

You can help by committing
to donate $1 per child each month ($32/month), volunteering, or committing to pray for the children of Still Creek.
