A Home With A 40 Year Legacy
Since the mid 1980’s Still Creek has been taking children from crisis situations and giving them a safe, loving home. The Dansby New Beginnings Home was the first home built here at Still Creek and for close to four decades, this home has raised hundreds of boys and given them a safe place to call home.
Our Dansby New Beginnings home is the oldest home and has seen some wear and tear over it's almost 40 year span. This home has served so many. Over the years small projects have been completed. Updating bathrooms or installing new flooring. If these old walls could talk, what stories would they share? We can only imagine the laughter, tears, prayers, conversations and love that has filled this home for close to 40 years. The Dansby New Beginnings home was the first home, the home that started our Still Creek legacy. It is also our home that is currently in the most need of major repairs. We have some structural damage to main supporting beams, the home is built on concrete piers that are in need of added support, because |
of residual washout over the years. Then there is siding and painting on the exterior to preserve the 40 years of memories, and to continue providing shelter for hundreds more boys over the next four decades.
We are so excited to share our Preserving Our Legacy campaign with all of you. This campaign will be helping across the entire ranch to preserve our history and legacy. We would love to share more about the Preserving Our Legacy campaign and how you can partner with us to continue our mission of taking children from crisis to new creation for generations to come.
