Boy’s Homes
There are two cottages for boys at the Boys Home location. The “Big Boys Cottage” was built by the Dansby Foundation and the “Little Boys Cottage,” by the Weedon Family, both of the Brazos Valley in College Station Texas.
The “Big Boys House,” was built in 1985 and dedicated to Mr. Dansby. This cottage is located under beautiful trees and has gorgeous porches in the front and back. It holds 8 boys. The boys have a living area and the home parents have nice quarters attached to the home.
This is a cottage under remodeling. It has been used for visitors, relief home parents, and also for an over-flow of children when the other cottages are full. Also, it has been used for widows, smaller children, and school classes as well.
“The Second Chance Cottage” is our newest home. This cottage along with the girls home and Glory Inn were built by the O’Quinn’s son, Kenny O’Quinn with O’Quinn Construction.
The Second Chance cottage, along with the girls’ home, has 5500 sq. feet. The rooms for the children are spacious and deocrated beautifully. There are memories in each cottage. As the cottages were being built we wrote scriptures on the two-by-fours on each wall, as well as on the stair- cases. We placed scripture cards in each of the cement slabs as they were poured and filled the attics with bibles. The homes and school buildings are all covered with the Word of God also. A wonderful lady, who chose to remain anonamous, built the Second Chance Cottage and many faithful friends helped furnish it. This cottage is located by the creek banks where the kids spend hours fishing and catching frogs. This cottage holds 8 to 10 boys. The parents quarters are spacious for the helpers to live in who have been sent by God to care for the children.
